New smoking laws aimed at Arizona kids

Arizona smokers have just been handed another stipulation as to where they can light up. The Arizona state legislature passed a law banning smokers from smoking in a car that is carrying minors. That’s right, parents cannot smoke if their children – or anyone else’s - are in the car.

This is nice for the still pink-lunged children, but for parents and caregivers, it’s yet another reminder that society frowns upon their habit and is poised to banish them all to one large, glassed-in airport smoking room.

The new Arizona law stipulates that at least a $50 fine for each minor child be given to the smoker on the first offense. For each ensuing offense, another $50 per minor is added. That can be a lofty fine for those parents that are carpooling kids to soccer practice. Thankfully, Nicorette is cheaper than the fines.

You have the govmnt with which you deserve. I hope they throw even non-smokers in jail next and bannish them into the gutter.....but if the voters decide to take a moment and read up on second hand smoke they will find it doesnt harm anyone and never has........but of course how do you get the truth out when the liberals refuse to promote truth in reporting.
