The proposed rule on "reasonable force" is intentionally deceptive. The proposed rule provides that, "Nothing in this rule should be construed as addressing state or local school board policy on corporal punishment." This part of the proposed rule is not the equivalent of specifying, for example, that, "Reasonable force, as used in this rule, does not include corporal punishment."

The people who drafted this proposed rule are trying to trick us. They want us to think that "reasonable force" does not include corporal punishment but in fact the rule says no such thing! Do NOT fall for this malicious trick.
