Just when you thought Stephen Colbert couldn't fool anyone else.
On his show Tuesday night, Colbert pointed out the cost of the Recovery.gov website, and that human error caused the site to report created jobs in non-existent congressional districts.
He then quoted a Recovery.gov official named Ed DeSeve's defense of the site, pronouncing his name "deceive." DeSeve admitted not seeing the episode, but said he was receiving unfair, "harsh treatment by the press." He also got on Colbert for "perverting" the pronunciation of his name, but called him "Stefan Colburt."
It's hard to tell what's worse: thinking Colbert was serious, thinking he is a member of the press, or mispronouncing his name while complaining that he called you "deceive."
