Twitter plus GPS is a potent combo

Pinpointing the source of tweets could increase usefulness

Of the 26 million tweets posted per day, it can be difficult to find information relevant to a given topic. But Twitter is adding GPS from cell phones to its service so users can limit their searches to a precise geographic location. So, if big news happens in a small town, like the Ft. Hood tragedy, a location filter would be an incredibly useful tool.
