VA plan will try to reduce number of homeless vets

Estimate: 131,000 veterans are currently homeless

The Dept. of Veterans Affairs will soon unveil a five year plan to combat homelessness among veterans. While the new GI Bill is expected to help in prevention, $17 million in immediate assistance will be doled out to build transitional housing for vets.
