Postal Service the first federal agency to report greenhouse gas emissions

Modernizing processing plants, retiring inefficient vehicles

The US Postal Service just became the first and only federal agency to measure and report its impact on climate change. Though the USPS only emits 1/20 of one percent of the nation's greenhouse gases, it has set a goal to reduce those emissions 20 percent by 2020.

The announcement comes on the heels of an executive order from President Obama requiring improved sustainability at federal agencies.
