Dear Bureaupat,
Where can I find a military pay chart? And do all service branches pay the same?
Dear Recruit,
Ask and you shall receive. Viola! the 2009 Military Pay Tables. These pay tables are published by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, where you can find information on pay issues and DFAS services.
Regarding pay parity; members of the military services (Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Army) all receive the same basic pay despite whether you think one should earn more than the other. One area where there is a difference in pay are the clothing allowances. For example, Marines get $381/month compared to $266 for Airmen, because Marines have better uniforms.
The Only,
