DIRECTOR/VP OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS

As the Dir/VP Finance and Operations you will be a critical part of the management team and report directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for all financial planning and fiscal management for the company.

We will be counting on you to bring the financial rigor and discipline that we need to scale our business all the way through to eventual IPO. You will lead the development of our annual operational plan, as well as our quarterly assessment and goal setting process.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy

  • Strategic thinking - Work closely with the CEO to assess the overall business strategy and help form the strategic direction of the company.
  • Operating and Financial Plan Creation - Create an operating, headcount and subsequent financial plan and budget to enable the company to meet its rapid market rollout and product development goals.
  • Board information - Prepare thoughtful, insightful analyses of financials for presentation to our Board of Directors at quarterly meetings.

Fiscal Management

  • Data and Tracking - Ensure records are maintained to GAAP standards, and manage our financial information systems (currently Quickbooks).
  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with all tax and accounting requirements.
  • Procedures and Safeguards - Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures and safeguards.

Contracts, negotiations, and legal

  • Customer Contracts - Work with CEO and VP Client Solutions to standardize and streamline customer contracts and the contracting process.
  • Negotiations - Lead or participate in all key contract negotiations, including operational agreements (lease, technology infrastructure, etc).

Recruiting and Administrative

  • Recruiting - Manage our mission-critical recruiting efforts and recruiters.
  • Administrative - Manage key staff including assistants, bookkeepers and HR.

About You

  • You are an experienced executive with strong operating experience.
  • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details.
  • You are a master at Excel and mid-size accounting software (Great Plains, Solomon, etc).
  • You are best at thinking strategically and numerically about business problems .
  • You love a good deal, and you love fighting for them.
  • You have a BA/BS from a top university.
  • You are fluent in GAAP accounting and have an MBA, MS in Finance, or CPA.
  • You function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for delivering results is set high.
