Military recruitment seen rising amid job woes

Nothing like a good recession to inspire patriotism

WASHINGTON — The number of young people considering a military career has significantly increased for the first time in about five years, buoyed by more positive news out of Iraq.
 
Military officials predict interest will rise even further because of the worsening economy.

I don't want to come off as a tin foil hat wearer but, The thought has crossed my mind that there could be a larger plan here. Kill the economy. Force people out of work. In desperation, they enlist. ???? Profit.
