Sex toys used to get people to vote

Since there's only one news story on anyone's mind today - aside from the Ron Paul revolution, of course - we've decided to focus on the various ways in which our fine country demonstrates its patriotic voting duties, the latest of which comes from a sex toy retailer in New York City.

At Toys in Babeland, a bastion of fine "bedroom appliances," they're offering up free intimate gifts to customers who show up with an "I voted" sticker, a voter registration card, a ballot stub, or their "word of honor" that they've voted - and who wouldn't trust that in a sex shop?

The patriots at Babeland are looking to reward upstanding citizens who vote with varies "goodies," and not the kind McCain likes talking about in his pork prose.

"Sex crosses party lines. … We’ve tried to make this into a nonpartisan reward because we welcome everyone," Babeland spokeswoman Pamela Doan told msnbc.com. "That’s our philosophy and our mission. We didn’t want to reward only Obama supporters. We have a lot of Republicans who shop at Babeland too."

But if extra friction or a pocket rocket isn't for you, various others retailers like Ben & Jerry's, Krispy Kreme and Starbucks are also chipping in to pat voters on the back for pulling that lever. If you play your cards right, you might just end up a few bucks ahead today from all the free stuff. Now that's change we can believe in.
