HHS not using discounted airfares
(But at least the first-class option is out)
Employees of the Health and Human Service Department's Office of the
Secretary are rarely taking advantage of the cheapest available fare
when booking air travel, a recent report from the HHS inspector general
found. In 2006, the office spent about $4 million of airfare.

Agencies
spent about $14.8 billion on airline tickets, hotel rooms and other
expenses in fiscal 2007, an increase of about 5 percent, according to
the Office of Management and Budget.
