BREAKING: Senator Stevens indicted for making false statements

Alaskan Republican Senator Ted Stevens, best know as the architect for the famed "Bridge to Nowhere" pork legislation, was indicted today by a grand jury for seven counts of falsely reporting hundreds of thousands of dollars in services he received from a company that helped renovate his home.

Prosecutors said Stevens concealed "his continuing receipt of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of things of value from a private corporation," including home improvements to his vacation home in Alaska, including a new first floor, garage, wraparound deck, plumbing, electrical wiring; as well as car exchanges, a Viking gas grill, furniture and tools.

It is about time this corrupt Senator got his. Clearly Senator Stevens is the type of representative we all want, that is, he brings billions into his state, but profiting from it...well shame on you! On a bright side, he is so old he'll most like pass before he is sentenced. Hopefully, this will be an example for all politicians, who are elected to represent not profit!
