By Andrew B. Einhorn Jul 24 2008, 03:27 PM

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, chaired by Senator Dianne Feinstein, seeks an experienced communications professional to serve as communications director.  The successful candidate must have excellent writing and organizational skills, possess a team-mentality, and be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.  The candidate should also have 5-plus years of media experience, including conducting media relations around major media events, and writing speeches, news releases and op-eds. Strong organization and writing skills a must.  Ability to work under pressure and on deadline a necessity. The Communications Director will be responsible for media planning for the Inaugural and will serve as the primary liaison with the media who will be covering the event.  Please e-mail resume, cover letter and writing samples to press@jccic.senate.gov
