I am sorry he is not here to see this bipartisan legislation working its way through the Senate, but he would be very satisfied with the efforts being made.

Nevada higher education officials, along with U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., on Monday announced Nevada will receive a $20 million National Science Foundation grant to further the study of solar energy in the desert.

Building Nevada into a hub for renewable energy, Reid announces a $20 million grant for local institutions to study solar energy in the desert. This project will help address a national need and will enhance Nevada’s position in clean energy.

I'm confident that their findings will allow our state to harness its clean energy potential.
